Dr. Orisha A. Bowers (she/her/hers) holds a BFA, MA, MEd, PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Graduate certificate in Women and Gender Studies and a Certificate in Complementary Alternative Medicine and is seeking the Registered Expressive Arts Consultant/Educator credential through the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association. Orisha has more than two decades of experience in social services, nonprofit leadership, grants management, program design, and civic leadership as well as performing arts and education. Orisha’s life work is centered on an intentional merging of women’s studies, education, interdisciplinarity, advocacy, creativity, spirituality, healing, wellness, and movement. She uses scholarship and vocation to do healing work in reproductive health, women’s issues, and communities of faith.
Jeremy Bowers (he/him/his
Jeremy has been dancing for the past 14 years, and has spent the past 4 years with New Ballet Ensemble. His favorite styles of dance are Ballet and Memphis Jookin. Jeremy has starred as Memphis Angel in the NBE production NutRemix and various other roles. He most recently performed a solo dance and taught dance improvisation as a guest teacher in San Juan Puerto Rico. Jeremy has also attended the University of Memphis and intends to return to study dance and creative writing.Jeremy Bowers is a certified facilitator of Dancing Mindfulness and he currently serves as the Assistant Director at Orixa Healing Arts Wellness and Spiritual Centre
